First off, I would like to say some words. Hans at furrybutts (www.furrybutts.wordpress.com) has sadly passed. His mom and dad were awesome, he loved them and they loved him. Hans will be sorely missed by all.

Updates-

Not much updates. Did a major clean of *everything* the rabbits own, except cages. Cages would be done today, and they would also be taken inside today, but I’m sick. I also clipped nails.

I’ve been busy with summer camps and getting ready for trips and stuff… But most of the time I’ve been switching out the bunnies in my room. It gets so hot down here in FL (about 80 – 90 degrees every day) so I’m bringing a bunny in for 2 or 3 days, and then switching them out so they’re not always in constant heat.

I probably won’t be posting much this summer. Sorry!

Okay. Here we go… In addition to Speckles leaving this summer (most likely, depends if we can even get up there anymore with the economy…) Sugar might be leaving and Isis will only be leaving if a closep personal friend takes her. I really love them, but that’s why I have to give them away. I’m a bad rabbit owner. I used to play with them every single day, cuddle with them every single day, do things in general with them every single day. And I’m getting so busy that now the only time I see them is when I go out to feed them. So it’s because I love them they’re leaving. I don’t want them to have to live the way they are now. Only Toffee (maybe Isis) is staying. Most likely Isis will be going, and if she does, Toffee is coming inside to live in my room and the hutches will be sold (all but the 2 regular). When he’s in my room, I read so much that instead of coming out in my room for an 1 hour a week, he could play in my room 2 – 3 hours a day. It kind of sucks for the bunnies right now. I also feel kind of irresponsible. I was doing good when I had 2 rabbits, it started getting tricky around 3, and now I just can’t do it with 4. So now, I’m going to start all over again with 1 bunny like it used to be, and start being a decent pet owner. Not a selfish one who kept her bunnies even though they were living in horrible conditions….

Sorry. This is kind of my ranting time. lol

lol, I was going to do this yesterday, but I didn’t have time… SO. Pretend this is a flashback, and everything that happened today never happened and you’re reading this post yesterday. I mean, today. lol (hopefully you get my meaning)

So as you can see, Sugar, Speckles, and Isis decided that they would “save” hay, and throw it on the ground in protest. I could almost hear them saying, “Don’t eat as much hay! Save it for another day! Maybe they won’t slice as much! But they can’t touch! Duh duh duh duh, duh duh, duh duh, can’t touch this! OH OH OH OH OHHHHH!” (sorry, got carried away in the moment…)

Oh darn. I had made a card and everything for you guys too! But I can’t get it on here, so it looks like that (^) is the only picture you’ll be getting. lol SORRY!

But anyway, happy earthday, and remember to always show some serious bunnitude!

Sorry about my silence… It’s been pretty busy around here, and I haven’t been able to do much with the bunnies. That always seems to be my excuse, doesn’t it? *sigh*

Well anyway…

For a while, we couldn’t get Isis out of her hutch. She’s on the bottom story of Sugar’s hutch, so we can’t reach in from the top. Every time we put our hands in or something, she would lunge and growl. Well, finally when we were cleaning out hutches, we  removed everything from the top story (drop pan included) and reached down to get her. Once I was holding her and she was out of her cage, she was perfectly fine and content. I’m not sure what that was about, but I figure that Sugar’s smell triggered cage aggresiveness. She’s back in her small hutch and it seems to be doing wonders to her personality. All her cage aggresiveness has *mostly* gone away, and she’s even molting (have no idea what that’s about, maybe stress from switching cages again) ! My three friends and I were able to get about two handfuls of hair from her. We got her out, we were just petting her, when all off a sudden, “POOF” Magic Molting Fairy came to visit…

And while Isis is going back to normal, Sugar… Not so much.

After we moved Isis out of the bottom story, Sugar is going back to her lunging, aggressive self. I think it was when we were cleaning the cages, I haven’t had enough time to handle her everyday, and when we got her out it spooked her a little to all of a sudden be out of her cage. So when I reached into her hutch to give her food, she lunged and attacked the food like she did a month ago. And she was doing so well too… I hope this is a temporary thing.

Speckles is still her old silent self…  A little too silent for my liking. I really hope she comes around before this summer. I really want Speckles to be comfortable in her enviornment before I give her to my cousin. She’s a very shy girl. Man, it’s going to be really hard to give Speckles to my cousin. It’s going to be weird walking around and not see her, it’s like one of those things where you can’t imagine not having someone/something in your life. I really hope she’s happy at my cousin’s, the only reason why I’m doing this is because I feel like she’s not getting enough attention and love. I don’t want her to have to go through a bad life though.
Hm… Toffee… Let’s see…

His abscess is fully away! I’ve been monitering, and he hasn’t been chewing at his fur, the fur is fully covering his neck, and there’s no bump. But I’m pretty sure he’s not too happy with me. I accidentally cut his quick the other day… :-/ I feel bad about it too, because I did the little “test” before. Where you squeeze twice to see if they flinch, and if they don’t, then you’re safe to go? Well, he didn’t flinch, he only flinched when I actually cut… He didn’t bleed a lot, and it stopped after a few seconds, which is good. I was frantically flitting about trying to see what I could do. He got lucky and was actually in my room for about an hour and a half. All the bunnies envied him that night. xD

So that’s basically all I’ve got to say! Except….

Hans at Furrybutts (www.furrybutts.wordpress.com) has malloclussion (as I’ve mentioned before) but has developed an abscess because of it on his cheek. He is undergoing surgery soon to get his incisors removed. Please pray and hope that Hans has an awesome recovery and that the abscess will go away!

All in all, the bunnies didn’t have a very exciting weekend. I’ve been sick all week, which means no interaction with them, just cause I’m paranoid after one of my bunnies died and I don’t want them to get sick. So they’ve been stuck all weekend, which means I owe them big time!

Sorry, I said “pictures tomorrow” but then I couldn’t find my camera. I found my camera, and realized I didn’t have the cord to it. I go to my mom’s and I’m thinking in my head, “yes, i won’t lie anymore!” and realize I forgot my camera at my dad’s. OK, not the best luck in the world. I have my camera now, so here are pictures!! hehe! (and updates)

Quick update first:

Toffee has no more abscess! It’ completely covered up now and he hasn’t been chewing at it, and the fur is growing back over it! yay! *pray toffee doesn’t try to chew it again*

Speckles is officially going to my cousin Aimee this summer. I think she’s going to be really happy there, my cousin rocks. She’s going to start a blog so you guys can catch up with Speckles when she does go to my cousins: www.specklesbunny.wordpress.com
